Hey y’all!
For last nights lip color I decided on Revlon’s Créme lipstick in “choco-liscious” and I must admit, I was a little skeptical about the color at first but, I absolutely LOVE IT!!
I can’t wait to pair this color with other makeup looks!
I used EOS Lip Balm underneath to apply moisture to my lips before applying and to extend the lipstick wear time. I highly recommend applying any Chapstick underneath lipstick to smooth out the look of your lipstick!

My friend Erika, a AVID thrifter, went out & found a super cute floral skirt and decided to add her own “high-low” touch to it!

What inspired you to create the high-low skirt?I got A LOT of inspiration from magazines, Instagram, and other fashion sites. I also was inspired by my new “BFF” YouTube to do it myself by watching DIY tutorials!
I decided to go to the thrift store & purchase a skirt that I liked & thought would be cute as a high-low cut.
What materials did you find essential to create the high-low skirt?
•Scissors
•White eyeliner (to mark where I wanted to cut)
•A ruler (to mark straight edges)
•Measuring tape, and •Hemming glue
- Why?
• Because I can’t sew! Lol!
I tried on the skirt first, marked where I wanted to cut, and marked a straight edge across the front. I cut from the middle about 3-4 inches straight to the left, then the right & then cut diagonally down to the bottom to round out the skirt.
I made sure to try the skirt on after the cut to make sure it was exactly where I wanted it & after if I made another cut I tried it on until it was precisely where I wanted it!
Lastly, I ironed where i wanted to hem and then glued it down to secure it and…..there you go!
With the glue & skirt I paid less than $10!!!

Well…I’d like to first start off by saying that I LOVE the versatility of this product! Although this time I used it as a lip color, I have also used it as an eyeshadow base & it never wore off despite it’s intended use!

I first outlined my lips with Movie Star Red to define their shape. Applying lightly, I filled in to complete the look! Yep! It was just that easy! :) Nothing underneath or on top of the product.
I’ll be heading to M•A•C (VERY SOON) to see what other colors Creme Colour Base comes in! :) I’ll be sure to keep you all updated!

Sorry it’s been so long since I’ve done a product review! Time has been flying and I’m just getting a chance to catch up! lol
Any who, my friend Ashley received a jar of Mixed Silk’s Curly Gel for free after purchasing Mixed Silk’s shampoo & conditioner and she was kind enough to let me try it out! :)
I decided to do a coil out after watching a video on YouTube by SimplYounique! Can I just add that I absolutely LOVE her channel!?! ^_^ Her video topics range from hair to makeup to skin care regimens and giveaways! I’ve learned so much from her! Check her out!
(This style was done on freshly washed and conditioned hair)
Starting from the nape of my neck, I began by sectioning off my hair (row by row), combing through, applying Mixed Silk’s Curly Gel, & coiling each section with my finger! It was very easy but also VERY time consuming due to the size of coils I desired.
I left my hair in coils for a full day and unraveled on day 2! Here are my results! Enjoy!
Product Review:
I would DEFINITELY recommend this product to others! It moisturized my hair and provided a AWESOME hold to my coils! After my hair air dried completely my hair was still shiny and soft!

I received this shampoo as a Christmas gift and I must say that it’s TRULY one of my favorites!
It rinses away build-up without stripping the hair of its natural oils and it’s thick consistency made it super easy to lather into my hair! The smell is ah-maz-ing! lol I absolutely LOVE everything about this shampoo! It’s key ingredients include rosemary extract and peppermint oil. I really didn’t know the importance of the peppermint oil in shampoo so I decided to contact my good friend “Google.” lol

Dec 14th marked my 25th birthday!! :) Here is a overview of how [TheWeekend] was spent!!
My boyfriend told me to be ready by 5 o’clock on Saturday evening because we had somewhere to go. So, I went to the store at noon and picked out something super cute and simple to wear, and came back home to get ready! Of course, I wasn’t ready EXACTLY at 5…but we aren’t going to talk about that! (lol) We left the house at 5:15 and he wouldn’t give me any idea where we were headed. I asked over and over and over………but he wouldn’t spill the beans!
As we started to head towards Virginia Beach, about 25 minutes from home, I was totally confused! At this point, I knew guessing wasn’t going to get me anywhere so I simply stopped asking questions and enjoyed the scenery. But then, he told me to close my eyes. A few minutes afterwards, the car came to a stop and he told me to open my door so that he could guide me. After scrambling to find the handle, I opened the car door and reached out for him to grab my hand (My 1st thought was “Are you kidding me? How am I supposed to walk with my eyes closed……in heels?” But I complied). We walked for what felt like FOREVER! I tripped over a curb, my heel got caught in a crack, but he helped me with each obstacle :) THEN, he told me to walk up and open my eyes! We were at a restaurant called Captain George’s!! A AWESOME SEAFOOD BUFFET! I was super excited…..I love seafood! As we walked to the hostess stand he told the host that we were with a party and mentioned my bestie’s last name. Needless to say, I was confused!!
As she guided us around the corner to a room I saw my dad, my sisters, my best friend Nelle, and my boyfriend’s mom!!!!!!!!!!!!! I couldn’t believe it!!!!! They got me good!! My dad told me earlier in the day that him and my younger sister were going Christmas shopping, I had spoken with my bestie, Nelle, earlier in the day and my older sister lives in Charlotte, NC (My 1st thought was…”When did she get here!?”) lol!!!!!!!!! My bf’s mom met up with my family so that they could all ride together to the restaurant!! SO SNEAKY! So technically, they all lied to me……or just didn’t tell me the whole truth! ;)
I walked up to the table to give everyone hugs and then I saw…….THE CAKE!!!!!!!!!! I looked down to see a replica of a makeup cake I had shown my older sister, Sasha, MONTHS before!!! That’s when the tears started flowing!! I couldn’t believe that she even remembered I showed her that cake!
After showing everyone love, we all went to grab a few plates, or two, or three from the buffet. haha We ate, talked, laughed, and opened gifts! :) As the dinner came to a close we took a few group pictures. After preparing to head out, my boyfriend, sister, and bestie made me aware that we were going out afterwards!! I was thrilled!! We pregamed a bit at a nearby lounge and went to new club called Mansion!! I had the best time ever surrounded my sister, bestie, boyfriend, and our friend Jason! My couple friends, Erika and Ashley, came to party with us too!!
I felt like I was dreaming the whole night!! It was truly something out of a movie!! It’s such a blessing to know how much you are loved and celebrated by friends and family. I can proudly say that I am surrounded by A LOT of love!! THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO MADE MY 25TH BIRTHDAY AWESOME!! For those that had intentions on coming, but couldn’t, I understand. Remember…there’s ALWAYS next year!! :)
